Like pearls lie hidden within shells |

| Arth kya, nirarth kya, joh bhi hai sabhi tera |

Clothed in tiger skin, wooden sandals on your feet |
| Pyaas kya ho tujhe Ganga hai teri jataon mein, jataon mein, jataon mein |
You won't be thirsty as river Ganges flows from your matted locks |

You've always lived for the sake of others |
| Maanga kuch kabhi nahi, tune sirf hai diya |
You never asked for anything, you only gave |
| Samudra manthan ka tha samay joh aa pada |

| Dwand dono lok mein vish amrit pe tha chhida |
Then there was conflict in both the worlds for nectar and poison |
| Amrit sabhi mein baant ke pyala vish ka tune khud piya |
